Is an open-air photo booth better than an enclosed photo booth?
Open-air photo booths provide SO much more flexibility than enclosed photo booths. Since they take up less space, open-air photo booths can work in almost any space or venue. Bonus: While taking up less space, they can include more people in each picture. We’ve seen up to 15 people fit in just one photo! (and maybe even some photobombers).

Are there different types of open-air photo booths?
There are two primary types of open-air photo booths. While you can’t go wrong with either, it’s important to know the differences.
Print Photo Booth
A print booth will include our open-air, dual screen photo booth and a professional-grade printer. At Epics Photo Booth, our print booths have dual screens, meaning the main screen can capture photos while the back screen can allow your guests to share and text their pictures.
Print booths also include at least one photo booth attendant that will be on deck to ensure your event runs smoothly. Pictures are cut and printed in less than 20 seconds so your guests can have a keepsake to remember the night forever!
This type of open-air photo booth may be better suited for larger events, such as weddings, galas, and fundraisers, where it’s important guests leave with a keepsake to remember your special night.
Digital Photo Booth
A digital photo booth can take digital photos, GIFs, Boomerangs, and video messages to give your guests the option to instantly text their favorite. The Epics digital booths also include access to the ultra-popular Glam filter that is applied to your photos as you take them.
This type of open-air photo booth is perfect for smaller, more intimate events, such as birthday parties, high school reunions, non-profit fundraisers, as well as outdoor events, like festivals and golf tournaments.
Do open-air photo booths need a backdrop?
The creative possibilities are endless with open-air photo booths. Backdrops can be flashy and colorful or low-key and neutral, depending on your event. Backdrops can also be useful in emphasizing themes, holidays, seasons, and more.
